If the printer shows no interruptions, you can print a test page to verify that the connection is working. There are similar stages examined for the scanner. Additionally, HP Doctor checks that "Windows WIA Scan", "HP Twain Scan", "Registry" and "HP Scan" are working correctly. You can do a test scan to make sure the devices are connected.
If an error is detected, HP Print and Scan Doctor will tell you which part of the process is causing the problem by marking the step in red with an "X". There will be a detailed description at the bottom of the user interface that tells you how to solve the problem. You can follow the instructions and then click "Retry". Your printer and your PC can be connected via a USB cable or a wireless network connection. The Doctor will start searching for your HP after you click "Start".
